This assumes constant growth, costs, and withdrawal amounts throughout. Values shown are nominal (not adjusted for inflation).

Age Fund Value Phase
This calculator models your private pension pot only and does not include State Pension income. The 25% tax-free lump sum is assumed to remain in the pot as part of your monthly income. Growth, charges, and inflation are assumed constant.
The value of investments can go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invest. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Income from investments is not guaranteed.

Accumulation Phase: Each year, your current pot plus annual contributions grow by the net growth rate (growth rate minus annual costs).

Drawdown Phase: After retirement, your pot continues to grow at the net rate, but your annual withdrawal is deducted each year.

Net Growth: The growth rate minus annual costs. For example, 4% growth with 1% costs = 3% net growth.

Inflation: Shown for context — at 2% inflation, £1,000 today is worth approximately £820 in 10 years' time in real terms.

These figures are estimates based on the assumptions you enter. Actual returns will vary. Always seek professional financial advice before making pension decisions.

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or any other debt secured on it.

If you are thinking of consolidating existing borrowing you should be aware that you may be extending the terms of the debt and increasing the total amount you repay.
